一間髮廊，匯聚五個女人的人生悲苦；五年時光，演繹著幾對姐妹的命運轉折；她們在社會底層闖蕩和掙扎，故事折射了當代轉型時中國人群體的心路歷程。 攝影師李京紅從2000年10月起跟蹤拍攝這五名髮廊妹的生活，直至現在，足跡跨越五省七地，時間長達近五年，拍攝素材多達500小時，最後濃縮成了這部20集的記錄片《姐妹》。

獲獎情況：《姐妹》已經在全國20個省市播出，至少有超過5億觀眾的收視人群，產生了極大的社會影響。收視率超過同時段播出的電視劇，最高達到4.1。 被《南方週末》評為2004年致敬中國傳媒之年度現場報道； 被《新週刊》評為2004年中國電視台節目榜之最佳紀錄片。

One hair salon, five female hairdressers, five years, five tragic stories. 「Sisters」 documents the soul & heart of modern Chinese women who are wandering and struggling at the bottom of the society. Li Jing Hong, the photographer, has recorded these five girls since 2000. In these five years, Li has had to film across seven provinces. Finally, Li composes this 20 episode documentary out of more than 500 total hours of film.
