一個紀錄片攝制組到大舞瀰漫的山裡拍片。期間因為需要一頭牛，片子圍繞借牛展開了一個迷離故事。一個十歲的小孩被一個十六歲小孩奪走了生意，十歲小孩又想法奪回了生意，山裡人拚命要錢,一改往日熱情好客之容,城裡人拚命省錢,凡事均以錢了結.片中人在霧谷深處,演繹著今天中國社會變化，他們所呈現的不同心態。

Foggy Valley

A team of a TV station goes to produce a film in a poor mountainous area where some minority nationalities live. In need of a cow, the team offers only ¥10 for it, while those locals charge more. In the past, the people living in the mountain used to take out the best food to treat those from cities free of charge. With an annual income of below ¥200 per capita and an empty stomach, they were willing to give their best to satisfy the city people. What they wanted was the praise by the city people--- 「hospitality」. The present is quite different from the past. The people living in the mountain manage to make money on seeing the people from cities. They become aware that everything in the mountain should be paid--- the cows they』ve raised, the costumes and accouterments they』ve produced, the songs and dances they』ve made, the sceneries in the mountain they』ve created and the labors they』ve contributed to the city people. Certainly, the people from cities begin to feel repulsion for them and say their good folkways have been changed. The story in Foggy Valley reflects the contradictions between cities and villages and the changes of them, revealing different spiritual attempts of people in this situation.
